2022
The Oasis plant pot isn't just cute; it's a functional improvement to any plant lover's setup. It combines a playful aesthetic with a functional solution for plant care. The two-piece design features an integrated water reservoir and wicking system that delivers moisture to the plant as needed. The product went through multiple design iterations and rounds of consumer feedback before being refined for a small-scale production.

Being in a small, interdisciplinary team, I knew from the beginning that product development would have to be done differently. I took the lead during the early concept phase, and after rounds of sketching, ideation, and feedback, we landed on a playful self-watering planter.

After narrowing down our favorite concepts, I quickly developed 3D models and KeyShot renderings to bring the ideas to life. These visuals helped the team evaluate the designs internally and were also used for real-world consumer feedback. Through multiple rounds of market research, user input, and design refinement, we arrived at a fully ceramic, two-piece statement planter. From there, I refined the design details and helped prepare the product for production.

While the physical aspect of the project was taking shape, we started building out the brand. Going through similar design practices of creative rounds and then getting feedback.

With the design direction established, the next step was figuring out production. While refining the final details, I jumped into the manufacturing process by learning how to create plaster molds, slip cast ceramic parts, and explore glaze finishes. I was like a kid in a candy shop, spending 12 hours a day in the ceramic studio, getting my hands dirty, creating and loving every second.
